Hesketh Farm Trip

22 May 2017 (by julie)

Two fantastic days out.

Many thanks to all the parents who volunteered to join the children on our trips to Hesketh Farm. Despite drizzly weather on the Tuesday, we still had two very memorable and fun days at the farm. Both days were planned for us which meant that all the children got to take part in activities such as mixing milk and feeding lambs or calves, collecting eggs and handling chickens, a bumpy tractor ride and stroking guinea pigs. There was also plenty of free time for playing, mainly inside only on Tuesday, but on Thursday, in better weather, outside as well. The children were a credit to everyone and were very well behaved, which made the trips even more enjoyable.Following such a busy day there were a lot of tired children on the coach on the way home and we had to wake up quite a few when we got back to school. I think a lot of parents also slept very well that night too! Lots of photos were taken and you can see some of them on the Gallery page, on our Blog and also on display in the nursery corridor. Once again, thank you to all the parents who were able to come with us and we hope you enjoyed yourself as much as the children did.
